Fashion Department at SAIC hosts end of year fashion show and exhibition to showcase undergraduate and graduate students works. In 2021, this was not possible due to the spread of the corona virus. To overcome this challenge, I proposed on re-designing the Fashion Department website to showcase more than 100 student works for the first time and helping students build online portfolios. This proposal was accepted by the Department Chair and I worked with Fashion Department students, Developer, Design Assistant, and faculties from the Photography and Film Department at the school to launch the new website in 3 month before the graduation.
This is the mobile view of the website, making it easier to navigate and view students' work.
During the three-month discovery phase, I met weekly with the Department Chair, faculty members, Web Developer, and Assistant Designer to develop a website design structure that would bring our vision to life, making it holistic and accessible for everyone to view the work.
I worked with students and faculties from the Fashion Design and Photography Department as well as The Gene Siskel Film Center at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to help Fashion Design students to build online portfolios to showcase works virtually for the first time.
